Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ('AUP') defines the rules and restrictions that apply to all users of the Seed Events and Seedicon CRM platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
1. Prohibited conduct- platform misuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, another user's account, or connected third-party systems
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Platform's software or infrastructure
- Interfering with or disrupting the Platform's services, servers, or networks, including through denial-of-service attacks, scraping, or automated excessive requests
- Introducing malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other harmful code into the Platform
- Using bots, crawlers, or automated scripts to access the Platform other than through our publicly documented API
- Circumventing, disabling, or interfering with security features, access controls, or usage limits
- Testing or probing the Platform for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation from the Company
2. Prohibited conduct- data and privacy
- Uploading, storing, or processing personal data of individuals without a lawful basis under applicable data protection law
- Collecting, harvesting, or scraping contact data of other users from the Platform
- Using the Platform to build contact databases for resale, data brokerage, or commercial redistribution
- Importing contact lists obtained through unlawful means, purchased lists without verified consent, or data obtained through deceptive collection practices
- Processing sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric, religious, political) through the Platform without explicit consent of the data subject
- Sharing another user's personal or contact data without their knowledge or consent
3. Prohibited conduct- communications
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam) via email, WhatsApp, or any other channel to contacts who have not opted in
- Sending harassing, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory messages to any person through the Platform
- Impersonating another person, company, or brand in communications or event listings
- Using deceptive subject lines, sender names, or message content
- Re-subscribing contacts who have previously unsubscribed without fresh explicit consent
- Using WhatsApp messaging features to send messages outside Meta-approved template categories or to non-opted-in recipients
4. Prohibited conduct- events
- Publishing false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings
- Collecting ticket payments for events with no genuine intent to deliver them
- Using event registrations to harvest attendee data for purposes unrelated to the event without disclosure
- Hosting events that promote illegal activity, hate speech, discrimination, or violence
- Advertising events involving the sale of counterfeit goods, illegal substances, or unlicensed financial products
- Using QR check-in data for purposes beyond event access management without attendee consent
5. Prohibited conduct- content
- Uploading content that infringes any third-party intellectual property right, including copyright, trademark, or patent
- Publishing content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or harmful to minors
- Publishing content that constitutes incitement to violence, terrorism, or discrimination based on protected characteristics
- Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or affiliation in your profile or event listings
6. Permitted use of CRM and contact data
Contact data stored in the Platform must only be used for:
- Personal business relationship management with individuals you have met in a professional context
- Sending personalised, relevant communications to opted-in contacts
- Organising and following up on genuine business interactions
You must not use CRM data to conduct mass outreach to cold contacts, to re-engage contacts who have opted out, or for any purpose other than the relationship for which the data was originally collected.
7. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and to take appropriate action, which may include issuing a warning, temporarily suspending access, permanently terminating the account, removing content, and reporting the matter to law enforcement or regulatory authorities. We are not obligated to provide notice before taking action in cases of severe violation.
8. Reporting violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, please report it to legal@seedicon.com with details of the suspected violation.
9. Updates
This AUP is reviewed periodically. Material changes will be communicated with 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance. Contact: legal@seedicon.com
